Rowed to Rhode Island but the boat got stuck in the mud.
There's only so much muck a man can go through. So

I rode to Rhode Island at 8:00 on the southbound train.
But I took the wrong connection and ended up in Maine. So

I took a road to Rhode Island but blinked and missed the exit.
That's when I decided I should just FedEx it. So,

I wrote to Rhode Island I knew this couldn't wait.
Pen ran out of ink, that when my spirit breaks.

But all I wanted to say is...

Where's your island Rhode Island?
Call the Rhodes Scholars
See if they find it
You're just coastland Rhode Island
You're small and you fit in
